In the January 2006 issue, in the article “Nepafenac ophthalmic suspension 0.1% for the prevention and treatment of ocular inflammation associated with cataract surgery” (J Cataract Refract Surg 2007;33:53-58), cyclooxygenase 2 inhibitor is incorrectly identified in the first sentence of the third paragraph. The correct sentence should read as follows: “Nepafenac (amfenac amide) is an effective cyclooxygenase 1 (COX1) and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX2) inhibitor.”
